PEPPE CONSOLMAGNO & TIMBRES FROM THE WORLDŽ
Photo by: Elio Guidi The concert Solo Performance - "TIMBRES FROM THE WORLD" is a short-story developing into nine pieces, all composed by Giuseppe Consolmagno, lasting about one hour. During one-time play are employed the voice - used as instrument and song - and percussion instruments - melodic and of timbre - largely self-made. TIMBRES FROM THE WORLD is meeting with success both in the presence of a little audience (50 people) and with a bigger audience (1500 people) even if the listening requires intimate approach, based on attention and silence. Peppe Consolmagno music lets the audience to enter a creative sounding area and suggests images bound to childhood, landscapes, fantastic visions. The starting point in his compositions is first to let instruments "speak", and afterwards "talk" with them.
. LUIS AGUDO & AFROSAMBAŽ The concert Solo Performance - "AFROSAMBA" is pervaded by a poetic inspired and involving vein, rich in moods and above all extraordinary rhythmic - timbric maturity. Luis Agudo's music with its sweet and biting rhythms, its melancholy and happy melodies, has the marks of a deep inner happiness, and its rhythms don't move simply the feet, but stir thought and friendship. A precious show, that behind change of atmosphere and colours reveals a poetic consistent plan, able to stir a lot of reflections. Argentinian percussionist and composer, he is recognized like one of the most complete and best percussionists in the world. The musical fresco drawed in AFROSAMBA sublimates in a cultured and deep plan the popular and ethnic hearth of afroamerican musical experience. Red Records published his latest CD "South of the World".
